Alana is a development director for Food Freedom Foundation and is responsible for building donor relations, as well as developing strategic outreach and communication initiatives. Alana holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and brings experience in the nonprofit sector as a donor engagement manager and a communications specialist. She is passionate about food systems and believes they lie at the intersection of social and environmental justice. She believes that our current food system requires systemic change in order to be fair and sustainable for both people and our planet. Alana currently resides in Denver, CO but is a Bostonian at heart. In her free time, Alana can be found exploring local farmer’s markets, mountain trails, and roaming the aisles of various natural health markets.
